About the Department:

The Department of Computer Science was established in the academic year 2011-2012. The curriculum helps the teacher trainees to acquire knowledge about the aims and objectives

Vision:

• To acquire knowledge on historical evaluation of computer and its hardware software components.
• To familiarize with the various methods that can be employed for the teaching of computer science.

Mission:

• To provide the best resources to the teacher trainees to acquire knowledge in Computer Science

• To enable the teacher trainees I preparing and using the computer assisted instruction programmes.

Curriculum:

To curriculum of computer science I & II is well planned and constructed in a effective way to meet the needs of the teaching, learning process.
Curriculum is trained to achieve the objectives of Computer Science at different level in different schools.

Department Details:

All the activities of the department are well planned and are implemented in a systematic way. Various programmes are conducted for teacher trainees to enhance their teaching in Computer Science.

Curricular Activities:

Observation classes are conducted by the faculty.
Practicing various skills of Micro teaching
Teaching practice in schools.
Constructing and administering an achievement test.
Preparation of PLM in Multimedia presentation
Preparation of Transparencies.
Comparative evaluation of any two web pages bearing on the same unit in the school curriculum.

Co-Curricular Activities:

Department of Computer Science celebrated Navy Blue Colour Day. The importance of Navy Blue was highlighted through PPT, Dance, and Advertisement and so on.

Staff Development Programme:

The faculty of Computer Science participated in National Level Seminar conducted by Gnanamani College of Education at Salem which was sponsored by NAAC. The topic dealt was “Electronic Media for effective teaching and learning”

You join some 1470 institutions in 146 countries who are working with the United Nations to promote global priorities, including peace, human rights, and sustainable development. As a UNAI member, you are required to carry out at least one activity in support of UNAI and its ten principles during a calendar year. Please keep us informed about all your UNAI-related activities, which we would like to highlight in our Newsletter and on the website. You are also expected to submit an annual report after the end of the calendar year highlighting your UNAI-related activities. As a member, you are authorized to use the UNAI member logo on your website and on materials related to activities undertaken as a UNAI member. The College Institution Interaction Cell promotes closer interaction between the academic and Industrial fields. The purpose of the cell is to find out the gap between need of the industry and end product of the institution. The cell is the bridge between the industry, the real world and the institute. The students are exposed to the market and its demand. The cell helps the students to find a smooth transition from college to corporate life. The cell also serves as a platform for students in finding internship opportunities as part of their curriculum and during vacation. It as serves as a base for where workshops, conferences and symposia with joint participation of the industries. Industry experts also connect with students through webinars, video conference, online training programmes and lectures. This also serves a s place to establish rapport with industries for taking up mini projects and projects, strengthen Alumni relations, assist the Training and Placement Division and organize industrial visits.

To facilitate the interaction, process the College also has collaborations with National and International agencies such as Mukesh Infoserve, an ISO 9001:2008 Certified SAP-enabled organization, University of Bengkulu Indonesia to faster friendship, academic exchange and promote academic research. Coburg University of Applied Science and Arts Germany to co-operate in Faculty Exchange, Joint Development of Academic and Research Activities, Academic Publications, Joint Seminar/Workshops/Internships/Conference, Training faculty, Research Scholars and Students. KDU University Malaysia to develop Mobility Programmes for student exchange, staff exchange and institutional programmes. University of Sabah for Joint Seminar/Workshops/Internships/Conference, Academic Publications and student exchange. Mosaic Ambrosia Software Company based in Paradise Valley, USA.
